Wedding Photographer at St Nicholas Church and The Hilton Hotel, near Arundel in West Sussex

Today I was at the Church of St Nicholas and then The Hilton Hotel in Arundel. I was doing the wedding photography for Karen and Alistair who were a great fun couple to work for.
I was present from late morning at Karen’s place of preparation and right up to the first dance. After the ceremony we captured a few group photos in the church grounds, then we all headed off to The Hilton Arundel, just off the main A259 between Arundel and Chichester.
Attached to my blog are a few of my favourite photos from the day. I captured a large volume of images over the course of this ‘full day’ booking and presented over 400 images to the couple. The images were available for viewing for Karen and Alistair and their families soon.

Wedding Photographer at The Langstone Hotel on Hayling Island.

Helen and David’s wedding ceremony and reception was at The Langstone Hotel, on Hayling Island, Hampshire. It’s a fantastic hotel and right on my doorstep.
I started my day with some shots of David and his Best Man, then the bride and her Mother.
Having photographed the ceremony and signing of the registers, we opted for some photos inside the hotel in view of the poor weather conditions. There is a fantastic and light conservatory and other areas within the hotel, making for relaxed and creative photo opportunities, regardless of what the weather decides to throw your way at this venue.
The Langstone Hotel is a large hotel, situated in the beautiful coastal rural Hampshire countryside, surrounded by Chichester harbour and a busy marina in one direction. You can view the website of the hotel here: www.langstonehotel.co.uk

You can contact the wedding coordinator at the venue on 02392 776 776 or email her via their website. On the day I was assisted by Franco who is always really helpful and supportive to me.
I can’t recommend this local Hotel enough and in fact attend their very popular wedding fairs in October and February each year & also advertise in their current Ceremonies brochure.
The images were made available for viewing for Helen and David and their families soon after the wedding. Attached is a small sample of photos from this great day.
I am doing some amazing deals at the moment. If you are looking for an affordable wedding photography service, say for a short, mid week, or Winter wedding – please do get in touch and see what I may be able to offer YOU.

Actress headshots - Commercial photography in Hampshire

Today was a brief commercial job. I was doing some headshot photography for a local woman – I was working with Vicky who required some actress headshots for her CV and directory listings.
I was asked to capture some images of Vicky that she could use for directories and promotional purpose. Photos of this nature are usually supplied as print ready JPGS so that the client can display them to prospective employers – either via print or web based. They are not supposed to be over photoshoped (include your wrinkles and natural blemishes!!), without distracting background and are usually made available in B&W and colour.
If YOU require any headshots for yourself, staff, band or team – please get in touch. Actors and Extras too – if you are an actor and require recent headshots, relaxed and correctly lit – please contact me to see what I can do. I can supply images, for a modest fee, to actors, writers, dancers, presenters, graduates or children and young performers.

Equestrian photographer at The Priory Equestrian Centre near Frensham in Surrey

Today I visited The Priory Equestrian Centre, Frensham in Surrey. I was the official photographer for Wey Valley Riding Club and their Dressage event on 16th October – one of a range in their Omnibus 2011 Schedule, all of which I attended on their behalf.
You can view the website of Wey Valley RC and find details of all their events, membership, news and results here: www.wvrc.co.uk They also have a Facebook Page, through which you can view their activities, chat and news – accessible via their website.
The contact for these events at WVRC is Storme Whittaker: stormewhittaker@tiscali.co.uk
We had bright, dry and warm weather, after a cool start, which made for good opportunities for equestrian photography.
I captured the various classes ongoing throughout the day and focused primarily on the indoor arena, with the new roof it has vastly improved natural daylight levels.
There were two areas, plus a warm up area and varied classes / events throughout the day – all of which kept me fully occupied until the end of the event in mid / late afternoon.
The images will be available for viewing very soon. For around 4 weeks you can view all my images in the order online section on the website: www.martinlewis.biz There are a few images here, just to give you a flavor of the event.
I look forward to capturing images of all the riders throughout the Winter 2011 and into 2012 and in particular at some of the jumping events which tend to produce more dramatic images & so better photo sales too.

Equestrian Photographer at Withey Copse Farm in Ecchinswell, nr Newbury in Berkshire

Today I visited the Withey Copse Farm in Ecchinswell, nr Newbury in Berkshire. I was the official photographer for their Mini Cross Country event on 9th October 2011.
We had mild and windy weather, but I was sheltered in woodland, making for great light conditions for good equestrian photography.
There was a range of four classes, including a pairs class, which covered a similar circuit all day for the 90 entrants – all of which kept me fully occupied and pretty tired by the end of the event in late afternoon. Whilst fairly compact in cross country terms, the course included a lot of variety and it passed through a couple of open fields and a stretch of hilly woodland and even included some steps and a water splash, which gave the riders of Class 4 some added challenges. A lot of thought had obviously gone into the creation of this course and new event, which I was very pleased to be able to support.
You can view my sports events photos on line at my website: http://www.martinlewis.biz/ and images usually stay on line for up to two months for the competitors to browse and / or purchase prints and photo gifts from me. You can also see samples of my event photography via my website or on my Facebook page or blog.
If you are organizing an event and require a high caliber event photography service – please feel free to get in touch to check out my availability and to see what I may be able to offer YOU. The organisers of this cross country event were Jayne and Enzo who are a warm and friendly couple who put on a great day. It was well attended and I was well supported too, the atmosphere was very friendly and the spirit was more about families taking part than competition winning. Jayne and Enzo will be creating a new website for their course and their contact details and some of my images will hopefully be on it shortly.
The images were available for viewing and sale to the riders and their families on the same day. It is always my priority to get photo on line as soon as I can and offer riders realistically priced photos, with discounts and to offer a variety of appealing shots.
