Wedding Photography in Hampshire | Winchester Register Offices.

Today I was at Winchester Registrar Offices. I was doing the wedding photography for Tanya and Mark and it was a good day, if a little cool and showery for August!!
After a 2.15pm ceremony, we posed for some photos at locations around small courtyard garden at the Register Office gardens before heading off to some old town walls and arches for photos before heading to a local pub for some lunch and a drink. The evening reception occurred later than I stayed in the local Winchester Club. It was a small gathering of family and friends at the wedding, with a large reception party planned for the evening time.

The Winchester Register Office, in Station Road, is attractive to photograph as the main room is bright and airy as it benefits from a huge window located just behind where the Registrar stands. It also has brightly coloured stained glass in an attractive design and is a distinctive feature of this otherwise lightly coloured and quite modern room.

Winchester (including the Register Office who wouldn’t allow me to use any of the available spaces in their car park throughout the ceremony – so I had no access to the usual photographers paraphernalia of ladder, umbrellas, rain coat, reflectors, spare flash and camera back up, cash, white bridal brolly, etc) isn’t the easiest place to park unless you happen to have a resident permit – just to forewarn you if you ever plan to visit, or attend a wedding yourself!!
Winchester are one of a number of around 13 Register Offices throughout Hampshire – some smaller than others, but all utilizing the Hampshire Ceremonies Guide (brochure) in which I advertise my wedding photography (it excludes Portsmouth – where I also advertise!!). My advert appears on Page 35 of the brochure and I am very pleased that my images are used extensively throughout the publication editorial and credit is shown for these on Page 51.
You can view this in its current location on this web page if you are interested:

After some photos in the gardens and by the vintage FORD wedding car, we headed off to the old town walls for some photos and then on to the King Alfred Pub to escape the showers and seek some refreshments too!!

The images will be available for viewing for Tanya and Mark and their families very soon.
