Wedding Photography in Hampshire | HMS Warrior in Portsmouth.

Today was a Hampshire wedding at one of my favorite locations – HMS Warrior in the Historic Dockyard in Portsmouth. I was doing the wedding photography for Oxana and Paolo.

Oxana and her two bridesmaids arrived at HMS Warrior in a replica vintage taxi.

The ceremony was great to photograph and was on the ‘Half Deck’. The mood and atmosphere at this venue is fantastic and around 60 guests made for quite an intimate atmosphere.

We were lucky to get great (UK Bank Holiday!!) weather conditions - for some great opportunities for photos around the ship. Things were a little tricky at times during the photos as Oxana and many of her guests were from Moscow and Paulo from Italy.

Having photographed the ceremony and signing of the registers, we opted for some photos on deck and at various locations, before the couple and their guests headed below for a great meal, provided by the staff of County Caterers. I was pleased to be invited to eat with the guests and sample the fine cuisine they provide. You can view their website here, or via the link to them from my own website links page: http://www.countycaterers.co.uk/

The website of HMS Warrior is here: http://www.hmswarrior.org/ and I always enjoy working with the staff here and particularly Julie and Andrew who coordinate their events and weddings.
The images will be available for viewing for Oxana and Paolo and their families very soon.

Wedding Photography in Hampshire | HMS Warrior in Portsmouth, Hampshire

Today was a Hampshire wedding at one of my favorite locations – HMS Warrior in the Historic Dockyard in Portsmouth. I was doing the wedding photography for Jan and Peter.

Jan and her son arrived at HMS Warrior in a classic Rolls Royce (as did the Bridemaids in a second one!!) from local firm Lawnswood Limousines. You can find the website of Lawswood Limousines here: http://www.llcars.co.uk/

The ceremony was great to photograph and was on the ‘Half Deck’. The mood and atmosphere at this venue is fantastic.

We were lucky to get fantastic weather conditions, if a little too bright at times - for some great opportunities for photos around the ship. Having photographed the ceremony and signing of the registers, we opted for some photos on deck and at various locations, before the couple and their guests headed below for a great meal, provided by the staff of County Caterers. Wedding Photography in Hampshire | Warbrook House and Grange, Eversley, Hook, Hampshire - A DE VERE venue

Today I was at Warbrook House and Grange, Eversley, Hook, Hampshire. I was doing the wedding photography for Gemma and David and it was my first wedding at this fantastic location.

I started my day in the morning with photos with Gemma, her Mother, Father and The Bridesmaids at the bridal suite which has a large glass conservatory to one end, making for some great photo opportunities.

Both Gemma, David and members of their bridal party were fantastic to photograph as they were all very relaxed and clearly looking forward to a FUN day.

The ceremony was good to photograph as the dining room in the house has ample space for all the guests and benefits from a fair amount of natural light from a bay window, where I and the Registrars were located.

Having photographed the ceremony and signing of the registers, we opted for some photos on the main staircase. We then rejoined the guests after a few photos and all met in the gardens adjacent to the house for some family and group photos.

You can view the website of the DE VERE venue known as Warbrook House here: http://www.devere.co.uk/our-locations/warbrook-house.html
You can contact the wedding planning / sales team at the hotel on 0118 973 2174 or email; warbrooksalesteam@deverevenues.co.uk
On the day, I was assisted by Richard Sykes who coordinated the wedding and who helped me too. He was great to work with, as were the other colleagues at the hotel. We even got chauffeured around the grounds in a golf buggy and got some fantastic waterside images as a result.
Warbrook house is one of 42 UK locations and you can see all at http://www.devere.co.uk/
The Hotel provided a fantastic meal for the guests and I can testify this as they also fed me too - THANK YOU!!

I stayed right up to the first dance and the lighting made for some colorful images.
The images will be available for viewing for Gemma and David and their families very soon.

Wedding Photography in Hampshire | The Brookfield Hotel in Emsworth.

Today I attended The Brookfield Hotel in Emsworth to photograph the wedding of Debra and Richard. It was an intimate family orientated wedding, with around 40 guests and a short slot I had pre arranged into the otherwise showery August weather we are having!!

You can view the website of The Brookfield here: http://www.brookfieldhotel.co.uk/
There was a relaxed atmosphere and plenty of time allowed, making for a good atmosphere at this local hotel and popular wedding venue.

After a 2.00pm ceremony, we posed for some photos at various locations around the hotel gardens and we had dry conditions. At around 4pm the wedding breakfast commenced and at that point I left. So, I had a relatively short day for me, but with ample scope to capture a good range of images of the main part of the wedding.

The images will be available for viewing for Debra and Richard and their families very soon. Just a small sample are viewable here.

I thoroughly enjoy working at the Brookfield Hotel and especially with their Wedding and Events Manager called Jamie Drew (01243 373 363) who coordinates all their weddings and other events.

Wedding Photography in Hampshire | Winchester Register Offices.

Today I was at Winchester Registrar Offices. I was doing the wedding photography for Tanya and Mark and it was a good day, if a little cool and showery for August!!
After a 2.15pm ceremony, we posed for some photos at locations around small courtyard garden at the Register Office gardens before heading off to some old town walls and arches for photos before heading to a local pub for some lunch and a drink. The evening reception occurred later than I stayed in the local Winchester Club. It was a small gathering of family and friends at the wedding, with a large reception party planned for the evening time.

The Winchester Register Office, in Station Road, is attractive to photograph as the main room is bright and airy as it benefits from a huge window located just behind where the Registrar stands. It also has brightly coloured stained glass in an attractive design and is a distinctive feature of this otherwise lightly coloured and quite modern room.

Winchester (including the Register Office who wouldn’t allow me to use any of the available spaces in their car park throughout the ceremony – so I had no access to the usual photographers paraphernalia of ladder, umbrellas, rain coat, reflectors, spare flash and camera back up, cash, white bridal brolly, etc) isn’t the easiest place to park unless you happen to have a resident permit – just to forewarn you if you ever plan to visit, or attend a wedding yourself!!
Winchester are one of a number of around 13 Register Offices throughout Hampshire – some smaller than others, but all utilizing the Hampshire Ceremonies Guide (brochure) in which I advertise my wedding photography (it excludes Portsmouth – where I also advertise!!). My advert appears on Page 35 of the brochure and I am very pleased that my images are used extensively throughout the publication editorial and credit is shown for these on Page 51.
You can view this in its current location on this web page if you are interested:

After some photos in the gardens and by the vintage FORD wedding car, we headed off to the old town walls for some photos and then on to the King Alfred Pub to escape the showers and seek some refreshments too!!

The images will be available for viewing for Tanya and Mark and their families very soon.
