Wedding Fair at HMS Warrior in Portsmouth - 28 February 2011

On Monday 28th February 2011 I was pleased to attend the HMS Warrior Weding Fair – HMS Warrior is one of my favourite venues for wedding photography in our region. My bookings for 2011 and 2012 are steadily increasing - I met around 7 couples who had booked me for their photography at HMS Warrior on the evening, which was very well attended with nearly 300 visitors.

HMS Warrior is an atmospheric and unique maritime venue, having spectacular backdrops, vibrant colours and amazing structures which make for great photography for weddings and other special occasions.

You can view details of the HMS Warrior website here: http://www.hmswarrior.org/hospitality/weddings1.htm

I thoroughly enjoy working at HMS Warrior where I also advertise in their brochure. I especially enjoy working with their Events Team, including Emma, Julie, Ami and Andrew, who can be reached on 02392 778 604. They coordinate all their weddings and other events and are great people to work with and are fantastically committed to their roles and this great ship.

I should also make mention here of the fab catering suppliers who serve Warrior weddings: County Caterers. They produce fantastic cuisine, refreshments and service, in my experience. You can view their website here, or via the link to them from my own website links page: http://www.countycaterers.co.uk/ There will be a complete range of local suppliers attending and so it should be a good evening, if you are planning to get married or hold another special event at Warrior and / or are having a reception in the local vicinity.

A few sample HMS Warrior images from recent weddings and events are shown here – just to wet the appetite. If you scroll back through my blog – you’ll find many more throughout the previous weddings.

I enjoyed this trip, as always and was displaying a good range of my recent work and many of the products I supply. There were wedding albums of recent weddings from venues I frequently visit, such as HMS Warrior and others in Portsmouth, albums from weddings at Rhinefield House Hotel in the New Forest or HighCliffe Castle in Dorset.

If you visted on Monday and would like to talk - I will be happy to chat to you on the phone, or possibly make an appointment to come and meet me at my office.

I would draw everyone’s attention to my ongoing current website time limited SPECIAL OFFER of a FREE disc of all the images presented at each wedding – to any new HMS Warrior WEDDING FAIR wedding booking for 2011 or 12 – received on or shortly after 28th February 2011 and until further notice in 2011.

Please contact me for further details, to discuss your plans or perhaps to ask for the opportunity to arrange to meet up at a mutually convenient time, should you wish to do so.

Wedding Fair at The Langstone Hotel on Hayling Island, near Portsmouth in Hampshire. On 27 February 2011

I attended the Langstone Hotel Wedding Fair on the 27th February 2010.

This was my second visit to The Langstone Hotel as an exhibitor, having covered many weddings and receptions here previously and I also now advertise in their Wedding Ceremonies Brochure.
I know that many couples visiting will be getting married at other local churches and venues and I am pleased to say that the Hotel is on my doorstep and so I have good experience of many of the great venues and other locations for photography in our region.

I would draw everyone’s attention to my SHOW special offer of a FREE disc of all the images presented – to any new (‘Level 3, 4 or 5’) LANGSTONE HOTEL FAIR wedding photography booking (made on or just after the event). This is a time limited booking incentive that is advertised on my website too, but will likely be removed shortly.

Please contact me for further details, to discuss your plans or perhaps to ask for the opportunity to arrange to meet up at a mutually convenient time to discuss your plans and options, should you wish to do that.

Wedding photographer at St Leonards church in Bursledon and Edwinns in Fareham, Hampshire.

Today I was off to St Leonards Church in Bursledon and then to Edwinns in Fareham, for the wedding of Selina and Sam. St Leonards is a beautiful ancient church and despite the appalling weather at the time we left the church, not that long after the 1pm ceremony, it was still a great place for a wedding and the deluge didnt dampen spirits at all.

Having photographed the ceremony and signing of the register, we headed out to the front of the church for some photos. The poor weather put pay to many photos at all adjacent to the church - virtually as soon as confetti had been thrown. The Couple headed off the Edwinns (now The Brasserie @ No 68) for some celebrations, photos and the wedding breakfast.

You can view the website of The Brasserie @ No 68 here:
www.homecountiespubs.co.uk/brasserie68

A few of my favourite shots from the day are attached & we remained indoors pretty much throughout. Edwinns is an attractive premises, with a staircase, grand front entrance, numerous spectacular rooms and a garden (if its dry) making for a good range of photo opportunities.

The images will be available for viewing for Selina and Sam and their families very soon.

Chichester 10K Run - Official Photography

Today I attended the Chichester 10K RUN again. This event is hosted by the Rotary Club of Chichester Priory. You can view their website here: http://www.chichester10krace.org.uk/10k_Road_Race/Rotary_Club.html

I was the ‘official photographer’ again for their event on 6th February 2011. Chichester 10K is a very successful annual 10K ‘road’ running race – a Sussex AA Road Challenge Event and Sussex Grand Prix Event too. The event website (with a link to mine at the top of the page) is here: http://www.chichester10krace.org.uk/10k_Road_Race/Home.html and there was a large and very competitive entry, making for hectic race photography!!

This Chichester 10K Race is one of the best organised running events I am privileged to photograph and always has a great atmosphere amongst entrants, spectators and officials.

My images will be available for viewing and sale to the runners very quickly after the event, typically within 24 hours of each event. A few sample images are shown here – just to wet the appetite. If you are organising a similar event and may require an experieced event photographer - please check out my website and feel free to get in touch.

Wedding Photographer at EXPLOSION at Priddys Hard near Gosport in Hampshire

Today was a commercial job. I was doing some more disco and first dance photography for a local DJ – DJ Joe. The location Joe chose for this third photo session was a ‘real wedding’ of Will and Bron at EXPLOSION the Naval FirePower Museum in Priddys Hard near Gosport in Hampshire to give him some variety of shots, primarily for use on his website. The EXPLOSION website can be found here: http://www.explosion.org.uk/ Their events manager can be contacted through the website, or else at 023 9250 5600

The website for DJ Joe Smith is here: http://www.djjoe.co.uk/ Joe is local to me and based in Havant and so why not check him out if you are looking for a DJ for your wedding or other special occasion?

These images will be available for viewing for DJ Joe very soon and for use in his PR, website, publications, and other materials. I have listed some images from a previous weding I shot in May 2007 with Kevin and Stella, prior to the disco images I captured tonight - to give you a better flavour of EXPLOSION which is a fab location for a wedding or just a great family day out. You can see more of their wedding photos on the website of EXPLOSION too.

If you should be considering using a professional photographer for publicity, PR, website, headshots, pack shots, staff in situ (action / story telling) photos – please feel free get in touch for a no obligation / no hard sell - discussion. I am offering some very good rates for imminent bookings, subject to my availability, I look forward to helping YOU too.
