Official equestrian event photographer at Larkhill at the Tedworth Hunter Trial

Today I visited a remote and windswept stretch of military land (Army MOD), at Knighton Down, Larkhill. I was the official photographer for the Tedworth Hunter Trial event on 29th September 2013.

We had fantastic weather for the time of year, little rain and good light conditions for my pro equestrian event photography.

There was a range of four classes which covered the same 2 mile circuit all day – all of which kept me fully occupied and pretty tired by the end of the event in late afternoon. I was shooting two cameras - with the second one stood on a tripod next to the fence and triggering off the main one in my hands. This gives a different selection of image to each rider - as you can see (with luck!).

You can view my sports events photos on line at my website: www.martinlewis.biz and images usually stay on line for up to two months for the competitors to browse and / or purchase prints from me. You can also see samples of my event photography via my website or on my Facebook page or blog.

If you are organising an event and require a high standard event photography service – please feel free to get in touch to check out my availability and to see what I may be able to offer YOU. The organisers of this cross country event were Tedworth HSC and are a friendly, supportive and dedicated bunch. They certainly know how to put on a great event. You can find their website and contact details here: www.tedworthhunt.co.uk

The images were available for viewing and sale to the riders and their families on the same day. It is always my priority to get event photos on line as soon as I can and offer riders realistically priced photos, with price discounts and to offer them a variety of appealing shots.

Wedding Photographer at HMS Warrior in Portsmouth

Today was a Hampshire wedding at HMS Warrior in the Historic Dockyard in Portsmouth. I was doing the wedding photography for Alison and Matt.

The ceremony was great to photograph and was on the ‘Half Deck’. The mood and atmosphere at this venue is fantastic. We were lucky to get great weather conditions - for some great opportunities for photos around the ship.

Having photographed the ceremony and signing of the registers, we opted for some photos on deck and at various locations, before the couple and their guests headed below for a great meal, provided by the staff of County Caterers. You can view their website here, or via the link to them from my own website links page: www.countycaterers.co.uk

The website of HMS Warrior is here: www.hmswarrior.org and I always enjoy working with the staff here and particularly Erin and Siobhan who coordinate their events and weddings.

Wedding Photographer at the Millstream Hotel in Bosham

Today was a local wedding at one of my favorite locations for photography – The Millstream Hotel in Bosham. I was doing the wedding reception photography for Gretta and Bill.

The ceremony occurred at the local Catholic church in Bosham and I was invited along for around an hour & prior to the lunch - to capture some family photos and just at the hotel. We were lucky to get great weather and light conditions - for some great opportunities for photos around the landscaped gardens at the hotel.

The website of The Millstream Hotel is here: www.millstreamhotel.com and I always enjoy working with the friendly staff here and particularly Claire who coordinated their event on this day & was fantastic to work with.

Hampshire newborn and baby photographer in Emsworth

Today I dedicated some studio time to shooting some portraits for a local family with a baby. Done in a variety of different styles, I captured some individual and sibling portraits of local baby and toddler.

The children were local to me and came along via my 'watch me grow' - one year with three studio sittings type arrangements.

I am also running and about to promote again a 'Bump to Baby' and newborn scheme via my website and various mailers I do for local families. It is a good idea to capture some images of your baby at intervals throughout the first year and starting from say around four weeks. If this appeals to you – why not get in touch and see what we can arrange.

The images will be available for viewing for parents and their families shortly after each session and there are a small selection posted here too, to give you an insight into my style and approach.

Wedding Photographer in Warblington near Emsworth

Today I was at The local church - The Thomas a Becket in Warblington - near Emsworth. I was doing the wedding photography for Cat and Si. After the wedding ceremony we went over to the Tournebury Estate on Hayling Island for a great afternoon and evening reception.

I simply use this blog to showcase a small sample of ALL of my on-going and full time photographic work. So you’ll see a lot more photos and work than words and thoughts on my blog. Hopefully, you’ll like what you see.

Attached to my blog are just a few of my favourite photos from this day. The images were available for viewing for the couple (typically 3-400 each wedding), their family and friends very soon after the day.

I am still going through a very 'season', with bookings flooding in for summer 2014 and 15 too - but some availability exists for key dates still and also key dates in the coming Winter. If you are looking for an affordable yet high standard photographer for an imminent date - please do get in touch to see if I am free and might be able to help you too. I wouldn't advise leaving things too last minute - but would be pleased to help you if I am free!!
