Wedding photographer in Hampshire. HMS Warrior in Portsmouth

Today was a local wedding at one of my favorite locations – HMS Warrior in the Historic Dockyard in Portsmouth. I was doing the wedding photography for Sarah and (‘Doc’) Michael.

The ceremony was enjoyable to photograph as there were just 17 guests and it was therefore an intimate ceremony and was in the Captain’s Cabin. The mood and atmosphere at this venue is fantastic, if a little tricky at times and was certainly a very bright day on deck and in parts of the Captain’s Cabin at 2pm!!

We were lucky to get some great opportunities for photos around the ship. Having photographed the ceremony and signing of the registers, we opted for some photos on deck and at various locations, before the couple and their guests headed out of the historic docks for a great meal, provided by Rosie’s Vineyard in Southsea. You can view their website here: or else call them on 023 9275 5944

Doc and Sarah and their guests seemed to have a fantastic afternoon on board HMS Warrior. Some of the guests even had time to fit in a short guided tour of the ship. The couple, Rolls Royce and I went to Rosie’s Vineyard via a planned detour to HMS Victory for a few more photos on that great ship too.

The Rolls Royce wedding car I mentioned was driven by Steve of Craneswater Wedding Cars. I have worked with Steve and his second driver Ray on numerous occasions and he is always helpful and cooperative to work alongside. You can see the website of Craneswater via the link on my website, or else try here:

The website of HMS Warrior is here: and I always enjoy working with the staff here and particularly Julie and Andrew who coordinate their events and weddings.

The images will be available for viewing for Sarah and Doc and their families very soon.
