Today I was at Portsmouth Registrar Offices. I was doing the wedding photography for Joanne and Andrew. The ceremony was good to photograph as the Portsmouth Register Offices has great light and an attractive staircase, gardens and ample space, unlike many Register Offices.
The weather and light was kind to us, albeit it there was a deluge or two before the wedding and on the horizon afterwards too – We were lucky as the recent gales and flooding meant for soft grounds & potential for really poor weather for photos.

We moved swiftly for photos into the gardens, after the ceremony performed by the Portsmouth Registrars: www.portsmouth.gov.uk/living/580.html We posed for some photos at various locations around the gardens before the couple and their 25 guests headed off to a local Social Club for a wedding breakfast and an evening of celebrations.
En route to the Social Club in Copnor we took a detour in the stretch limo, to take some photos of the couple in the shelter of the ‘hot walls’ in Old Portsmouth and some of those images are included in the sample alongside this blog. Its one of my favourite public places for portraits in Portsmouth.
The images will be available for viewing for Jo and Andy and their families very soon.
