Wedding Photographer at The Royal Marines Museum Wedding Fair.
On the 27th June 2010 I attended a Wedding Fair at The Brookfield Hotel in Emsworth. This clashed with another fair I wanted to attend at The Royal Marines Museum, one of my favourite venues in Southsea for wedding receptions and corporate and other prestigious events.
As I was unable to physically attend The Royal Marines Museum wedding fair, I was allowed to supply fliers like the digital photo above which went out in Goodie Bags to all the prospective clients who attended on the day.
I would draw everyone’s attention to my recent offer of a FREE disc of all the images presented – to any new Royal Marines Museum (reception) wedding booking for 2010, 11 or 12 – received on or after end JUNE 2010 and throughout the remainder of 2010.
Please contact me for further details, to discuss your plans or perhaps to ask for the opportunity to arrange to meet up at a mutually convenient time, should you wish to do so.

Wedding Photographer in Emsworth. Martin Lewis Photographer at the Brookfield Hotel Wedding Fair.
On the 27th June 2010 I attended a Wedding Fair at The Brookfield Hotel in Emsworth. The Brookfield is one of the very few venues licensed for weddings and civil partnerships in my home town of Emsworth.
I thoroughly enjoy working at The Brookfield Hotel, where I also advertise in their brochure. I supplied a range of my images for use in it and have a full A4 advert too. I especially enjoy working with their Wedding and Events Manager – Jamie Drew, who can be reached on 01243 373 363. He coordinates all their weddings and other events. If you have a similar event or wedding planned, why not contact him to see if he can help you too?
If you attended the wedding fair and possibly met me, or maybe took away some details – I look forward to being able to chat to you about your future wedding plans and perhaps showing you a range of my photos and wedding books. Thank you for taking time to chat too.
A couple of familiar faces were also exhibiting at the fair, including Craneswater Wedding Cars who had four different cars, including the vintage Rolls Royce shown here and photographed on the day itself at the hotel. You can find their details (along with mine) in the Brookfield brochure or here: http://www.craneswaterweddingcars.co.uk/
I would draw everyone’s attention to my recent website offer of a FREE disc of all the images presented – to any new wedding photography booking for 2010 (for remaining 2010 dates only) – received on or after the end of JUNE 2010.

Wedding Photography in Midhurst, West Sussex.
Today was a fairly local wedding for me, but for a first time yet at the church of St Mary Magdalene in Midhurst. I was doing the wedding photography for Kasia and Adam at this amazingly beautiful church and Town.
I arrived early to refresh my memory about the layout of the church as I was on foot (car parked a way away) and got the customary moan about wedding photographers from a person who turned out to be the church organist. Guests generally arrived quite late to the church and with only around 40 family and friends attending, made for a quite intimate and family orientated wedding (around half of whom were Polish). The ceremony was fantastic to photograph and was in an amazing church, as can be seen from the photos.
We had very bright, dry and HOT weather, which made for slightly uncomfortable conditions for group photos on the pavement by the side entrance to the church, before I headed off to Cowdray ruins for some photos with the couple.
Kasia was a fantastic bride to photograph - tall and elegant and didnt even seem to mind the bright late afternoon sun - although many of her family were Polish and were not able to understand much English, let alone photographers slang!! We got on well though and had a great day, with some lovely results, I feel.
After the group photos at the church and further photos at the ruins, the couple headed back to the Village Hall at Lodsworth for their wedding breakfast and evening of celebrations.
The images will be available for viewing for Kasia and Adam and their families and friends very soon. A few are posted here to show you a flavor of the event.

Wedding Photography in West Sussex. Arundel Town Hall.
Today was a local wedding for me, but for a first time yet at Arundel Town Hall. I was doing the wedding photography for Kyla and Christian at this fantastic historic location and Town.
After a few 'getting ready' photos at The Norfolk Arms Hotel, with Kyla, her parents and the bridesmaids, I walked back to the Town Hall which is just off the top of the main High Street in Arundel. The ceremony was enjoyable to photograph and was in a glorious room as can be seen from the photos.
We had fantastic, bright and dry and HOT weather, which made for slightly uncomfortable conditions for group photos on the roof terrace, before I headed off to seek out a vantage point near to the Castle for some photos with the couple. After photos near the castle and some time to mingle with their guests, everyone headed back into the same hall as the ceremony for a great meal.
The website of Arundel Town Hall is in the links page on my website as they list me amongst their local suppliers. Or you can access it here: http://www.arundeltowncouncil.gov.uk/cgi-bin/buildpage.pl?mysql=17
Stella Smith organizes their functions and weddings personally and with great care and attention to detail (in my experience) and can be reached on 01903 881563
The wedding guests had a great meal, provided by the staff of Buns and Banquets. I can testify this as they fed me too!! You can view their website here:

DJ Ashley Riggs provided the evenings entertainment with some brightly colored disco lights and a great sound too: http://www.djashleyriggs.co.uk/
The images will be available for viewing for Kyla and Christian and their families and friends very soon. A few are posted here to show you a flavor of the event.

Goodwood Panto Derby Photographs. Sport Event Photographer in West Sussex.
Today I was invited to return to Goodwood Racecourse having previously attended their Bank Holiday Family Fun Day Race schedule. I have previously photographed a number of weddings at Goodwood House: http://www.goodwood.co.uk/weddings/weddings.aspx and The Goodwood Park Hotel: http://www.goodwood.co.uk/the-goodwood-hotel/the-goodwood-hotel.aspx this trip was intended to be recreational for me today.
Having met up with Bradley Eccleshare – The Goodwood Racecourse PR and Marketing Manager – he offered me a press pass for the day and described the etiquette and main ‘rules’ about photography at the course and in the winners enclosure and parade arena.
I captured images from most of the races in the afternoon and some ambience and views in the public areas, only leaving after the final race and a short de-brief from Bradley who had himself also been rushed off his feet all day long.
There are a few images here, just to give you a flavor of the event. I hope to go back to another Goodwood event SOON and take some more action shots – it was great FUN.

I hadn’t appreciated (precisely) what a ‘Panto Derby’ might be until I arrived. I spent the morning photographing a Corporate Event hosted via a sponsor called RSA and their logos were all around the arena and course. Their website is here: http://www.rsa300.com/ As you can see from the photos – the Panto horses weren’t actually racing thoroughbreds (they came later) but they and the celebrities who presented the event certainly had some FUN!!

I had thought it was going to be a relaxing day, but it turned out to be a long, HOT and quite physical one. I went home quite fatigued, tired feet and certainly slightly sun burnt!!

Wedding photography in Hampshire. HMS Warrior in Portsmouth
Today was a local wedding for me at HMS Warrior in the Historic Dockyard in Portsmouth. I was doing the wedding photography for Jane and John.
The ceremony was enjoyable to photograph and was on the ‘Half Deck’. The atmosphere at this venue is fantastic and we had a pretty full house with around 100 guests at the ceremony itself – 60 of whom arrived in a ‘RouteMaster’ Red (double decker London) Bus.
We had fantastic, bright and dry weather, if a little breezy at times…... Having photographed the ceremony and signing of the registers, we opted for some photos on deck and at various locations, before the couple and their guests headed below for a great meal, provided by the staff of County Caterers. You can view their website here, or via the link to them from my own website links page: http://www.countycaterers.co.uk/
The website of HMS Warrior is here: http://www.hmswarrior.org/ My thanks as always go to Julie and Andrew, based at HMS Warrior who help and support me on each wedding day.
The images will be available for viewing for Jane and John and their families and friends very soon. A couple are posted here to show you a flavor of the event.

Wedding photographer in Hampshire. HMS Warrior in Portsmouth
Today was a local wedding at one of my favorite locations – HMS Warrior in the Historic Dockyard in Portsmouth. I was doing the wedding photography for Sarah and (‘Doc’) Michael.
The ceremony was enjoyable to photograph as there were just 17 guests and it was therefore an intimate ceremony and was in the Captain’s Cabin. The mood and atmosphere at this venue is fantastic, if a little tricky at times and was certainly a very bright day on deck and in parts of the Captain’s Cabin at 2pm!!
We were lucky to get some great opportunities for photos around the ship. Having photographed the ceremony and signing of the registers, we opted for some photos on deck and at various locations, before the couple and their guests headed out of the historic docks for a great meal, provided by Rosie’s Vineyard in Southsea. You can view their website here: http://www.rosies-vineyard.co.uk/ or else call them on 023 9275 5944
Doc and Sarah and their guests seemed to have a fantastic afternoon on board HMS Warrior. Some of the guests even had time to fit in a short guided tour of the ship. The couple, Rolls Royce and I went to Rosie’s Vineyard via a planned detour to HMS Victory for a few more photos on that great ship too.
The Rolls Royce wedding car I mentioned was driven by Steve of Craneswater Wedding Cars. I have worked with Steve and his second driver Ray on numerous occasions and he is always helpful and cooperative to work alongside. You can see the website of Craneswater via the link on my website, or else try here: http://www.craneswaterweddingcars.co.uk/
The website of HMS Warrior is here: http://www.hmswarrior.org/ and I always enjoy working with the staff here and particularly Julie and Andrew who coordinate their events and weddings.
The images will be available for viewing for Sarah and Doc and their families very soon.
