Today was a local wedding at Spitbank Fort in the Solent near Portsmouth. I was doing the wedding photography for Kirsty and Rick.
The entire day was great to photograph and was in the Crows Nest and look out at the summit of the building. We had a great day at this venue which is fantastic in my view and all those present seemed to have a great day too. We were very lucky to get great weather conditions (there was a sea breeze and a little swell at times) - for some great opportunities for photos around the venue. It was my first wedding and only second trip to Spitbank and I hope to be back soon too. It was fantastic for photography and the food and service was great too.
I was on site for nearly twelve hours in total today and presented over 600 images to the couple. Just a few flavour shots are displayed here to give you some ideas of the venue and day we had.

The website of the Solent Forts is here: www.solentforts.com and I enjoyed working with the staff here and particularly Dom who coordinated the wedding. They were very supportive and positive the whole day long and the food their chef produced was superb too. Take a look at their website and see what else they offer. If you venture out to this venue I am sure you will be amazed at what they offer and the views too!
Having photographed the ceremony and signing of the registers, I myself and the couple then went for a short boat trip in the Forts catamaran (one lap!) and we we then opted for some photos at various locations around the fort, before the couple and their guests headed off to the wedding breakfast and some amazing food.
