Professional event photographer in Hampshire

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Tonight was one of a number of special seasonal events I have attended over the Christmas and New Year period. Here are a few recent sample photos just to give you the flavour of my Christmas and New Year event photography. Parties can include say 100-500 guests and I can print on the night or return and deliver say 100 prints to the guests the next morning - say during their breakfast if they are staying on site.

Prints can be for sale on the night, during dinner or dance times, or else pre paid and delivered on the night or the next day, to suit each client. I posses state of the art printers and viewing screens so that guests can browse and choose their photos instantly on site, if required. 

The images will also be available for viewing and sale to the guests very soon also, typically within 24 hours of each event – often the same day. Photos are priced at very reasonable rates and there are discounts on my usual digital image (JPG) sales this year.

Special event photographer at HMS Warrior in Portsmouth - Sandras Birthday party

Today I was attending HMS Warrior in Portsmouth, Hampshire.

I was the 'official photographer' for a special event which was to celebrate the birthday of Sandra.

I captured a range of candid and posed photos of the participants, just prior to their dinner and evening of entertainment. I was on site for around an hour and presented 'High Res' copies of all the images to Sandra, very soon after the day. It was a happy, successful and enjoyable event to photograph.

Being extremely busy this summer - I am just listing a concise text and few images from each event I attend. Special event photographer in Hampshire - Dinner dance official event photography.

This evening I attended a local holiday village for a black tie dinner and dance. I was the official photographer for their event tonight. As you can see from the sample of photos I have attached – it was a smart or black tie event and was attended by around 180 people. Couples and family groups posed for some portraits in my portable 'studio'. I worked near the main reception at the venue from around 6pm and until near 8pm.

Whilst not everyone wants to pose for these kind of photos - a good percentage seemingly did so on this special evening and so I had to work quickly and efficiently to get my job done and not cause any delays before dinner was served at around 7.30pm. The guests were all certainly enjoying themselves and their holidays - making for happy event photos!

I will be returning to the venue and supplying a 9x6 print in a luxury mount for around 60 of the guests who chose to pose for a photo before their dinner dance.

Photo printing on-site (or on the next day for delivery of prints) can work extremely well at this kind of special event - formal but great fun. It provides added value to the clients and venue and an instant memento of the evenings celebrations. In this case it was a formal dinner and entertainment, at the end of a Christmas holiday. I mostly photographed couples, some single people and a few smaller groups of family and friends. I thoroughly enjoyed working at the holiday village and hope to be back again there soon. Having photographed a few parties and special events towards the end of 2014, I was pleased to be booked to cover this event today and thought I should show some sample photos on my blog. 

A few sample images are shown here – just to help illustrate my tasks on the night. These images are then cropped and printed to 9x6 inches and put into a luxury charcoal and silver card backed mount.

HRH Princess Anne visits Portsmouth Guildhall

Today I was lucky enough to be able to photograph HRH Princess Anne as I was the official photographer at a very large and prestigious Black Tie event being held at the Portsmouth Guildhall for the Association of Old Worcesters. It was my first visit to this venue, although I had attended a number of meetings before it took place.
I have uploaded just a few favourite images here from the evening. I had to capture informal portaits of all the guests arriving and then try and get around 50 dining tables, mainly in between courses, to get table shots of all the guests. As there were over 550 in attendance, this was a fascinating experience plus a big challenge.
I should also thank Derek Drew, professional ToastMaster and Master of Ceremonies and Sharon Hammonmd from the Guildhall, who assisted me on the night.
