Commercial photography in Hampshire. Wedding Cake photos.

Today was a commercial job. I was doing some wedding cake and cookie favours photography for a local wedding cake supplier – Gemma at Tartufi Cakes. Coincidentally, I also recently met Gemma at The HMS Warrior Wedding Fair, earlier in the month.

Gemma arranged for me to supply her with some images of around 3 cakes and a selection of cookie favours. These images are already being used on her cake page of her website. Gemma makes some simply stunning and creative designs and they taste as good as they look (I checked!!).

Portrait Photographer in Portsmouth

Apart from wedding photography I also offer some portrait photography. I enjoy offering families, groups, babies and toddlers and those enjoying a special occasion, such as for Mother or Fathers Day an opportunity to capture some individual portraits.

Commercial Photographer in Hampshire

I was recently commissioned for a days commercial photography which took place in the kitchens and dining area at Eastleigh College. A few of the images are posted here and I was able to capture a full range of images to enable my clients to illustrate the various tasks performed throughout the entire process of a day in the life of a kitchen and the service involved in preparing and presenting a three course meal to 60 hungry customers!!

Sports event photographer in Chichester. The Chichester 10K Run

Today I attended the Chichester 10K Run, hosted by the members of the Rotary Club of Chichester Priory. You can view the race website here:  http://www.chichester10krace.org.uk/10k_Road_Race/Home.html/  They are a friendly and supportive crowd and the marshals and support crew do a fantastic job at this event which I have covered now for numerous years.
I was the official photographer for the event on 5th February 2011. Chichester 10K is a very successful annual 10K ‘road’ running race – a Sussex AA Road Challenge Event and Sussex Grand Prix Event too. The event website has a link to mine at the top of the page. There is always a large and competitive entry, making for challenging race photography!!
We were lucky as we had overcast and still conditions, but NO SNOW despite the fact that most of Britain did on this day. I managed to capture a good number of images on the course. I photographed the mass start and was able to capture images of the vast majority of individual runners as they ran towards home and next to the famous Chichester Festival Theatre.
The images were available for viewing and sale to the runners the same day.

Wedding Photographer at Langrish House Hotel Wedding Fair - 29 January 2012

I had a fantastic time attending the Langrish House Hotel Wedding Fair on the 29th January 2012 as an exhibitor. Langrish is a fantastic Manor House with superb gardens for wedding photography and is near Petersfield in Hampshire. This was my second visit to Langrish House Hotel as an exhibitor, having covered a number of weddings and receptions here previously. I also advertise in their 2012 wedding brochure and the hotel holds one sample album containing images I captured at previous Langrish House weddings.
I realise that many couples visiting will be getting married at other local churches and venues and I am pleased to say that the Hotel is close to home and so I have good experience of many of the great venues and other locations for photography in our locality. Wedding Photographer at The Langstone Hotel on Hayling Island near Portsmouth in Hampshire.

Lynda and Gary’s wedding ceremony and reception was at The Langstone Hotel, on Hayling Island, Hampshire. It’s a fantastic hotel for a wedding and right on my doorstep.
I started my day with some shots of Gary and his Best Man, Martin - then the bride and her brother and the bridesmaids.
Having photographed the ceremony and signing of the registers, we opted for some photos inside the hotel in view of the weather conditions. There is a great and light conservatory and other areas within the hotel, making for relaxed and creative photo opportunities, regardless of what the weather decides to throw your way at this venue (it was windy on Saturday).
The Langstone Hotel is a large hotel, in the beautiful coastal rural Hampshire countryside, surrounded by Chichester harbour and a busy marina in one direction. On the day I was assisted by Franco who is always really helpful and supportive to me.
I can’t recommend this local Hotel enough and in fact attend their very popular wedding fairs in October and February each year & also advertise in their current Ceremonies brochure.
Also present at the wedding were a range of local suppliers, including Lawnswood Limousines, Cakeso’licious, Enchanted Flowers and also The Little Details Company who did a great job decorating the venue and tables at The Langstone Hotel.
The images were made available for viewing for Lynda and Gary and their families soon after the wedding. Attached is a small sample of photos from this great day.

Equestrian Event Photographer at The Priory EC in Frensham, Surrey

Today I visited The Priory Equestrian Centre, Frensham in Surrey. I was the official photographer for Wey Valley Riding Club and their Dressage event on 15th January 2012 – one of their Winter Series.

We had bright, dry and COLD conditions, which made for good opportunities for indoor photography.
I captured all classes ongoing throughout the day and in the indoor arena, with the new roof it has vastly improved natural daylight levels over previous years.
There are two areas, plus a warm up area at Priory EC, but the conditions meant that only the indoor school was suitable for all day use & so a decision had been taken to run all classes indoors through the whole day.
