Wedding Photographer at HMS Warrior in Portsmouth Historic Naval Dockyard.

Today was a local wedding at HMS Warrior in the Historic Dockyard in Portsmouth. I was doing the wedding photography for Jayne and Peter.
At the hotel I met up with Jayne and the flower girls and some of the other women who were getting their hair styled by the fantastic Annette Bradford. I see Annette at many weddings and recommend her via my links page any by giving out her business cards to everyone who books me for their wedding photography. After some 'getting ready' photos I left the hotel and drove back to HMS Warrior in good time for arrival photos of the guests, groom and best man.
The ceremony was great to photograph and was on the Half Deck. The atmosphere at this venue is fantastic and all those present seemed to have a great day. We were very lucky to get great weather conditions (it was dry, still and overcast!) - for some great opportunities for photos around the ship.
The website of HMS Warrior is here: www.hmswarrior.org and I always enjoy working with the staff here and particularly Erin, Julie and Siobhan who coordinate their events and weddings.
Having photographed the ceremony and signing of the registers, we opted for some photos on deck and at various locations, before the couple and their guests headed down below for some a reception hosted by the fantastic staff of County Caterers.
The evenings entertainment was provided by DJ Joe Smith and the first dance included a dry ice effect which was a different scenario (for me) and interesting to photograph.

Wedding photographer at Portsmouth Register Offices and The Guildhall in Portsmouth

Today I was at Portsmouth Registrar Offices. I was doing the wedding photography for Lisa and John and they were great FUN to work with.
After a 14.30am ceremony and a few photos on the stair case - we posed for some photos at various locations around the Register Offices before the couple headed off to the Guildhall in their 1930 vintage style Beauford wedding car for some photos with me near the Guildhall.
The Portsmouth Register Offices is one of my favourite Register Offices to cover, as the space and gardens are fantastic and the staff are always helpful to me too. You can see their website here: www.portsmouth.gov.uk
We then headed over to The Guildhall for the wedding breakfast and an evening of celebrations. The website of The Guildhall is: www.portsmouthguildhall.org.uk  It was a fabulous wedding location, with around 50 guests in attendance on this occasion and some great food and service from a clearly dedicated and helpful team of staff. A first visit to this hotel for me and a good experience all round & I was supported by Hannah who was really helpful.
All the images are available for viewing for Lisa and John and their families very quickly! Just a few to show you some of my favourites are here.

Wedding photographer at the Square Tower and also the Southsea Castle in Southsea, Hampshire

Today I attended the wedding of Jo and Gary at the Square Tower in Southsea, Old Portsmouth.

After the ceremony we captured a few group photos near the town walls, just along from the Square Tower www.squaretower.co.uk  The Square Tower is a great location for wedding photography and Steve Hender - the Manager and contact - is available via their website, or enquiries@squaretower.co.uk or 07519 505 785. Steve is really supportive and helpful to me. I also now have a link to the venue on my links page at www.martinlewis.biz and you can see a gallery of my work on his website too.

I simply use this blog to showcase a small sample of ALL of my on-going and full time photographic work. So you’ll see a lot more photos and work than words and thoughts on my blog. Hopefully, you’ll like what you see. Attached to my blog are just a few of my favourite photos from this day. The images were available for viewing for the couple, their family and friends very soon after the day.

After a short while relaxing near to the Square Tower, all the guests and couple made their way along to Southsea Castle for an evening of entertainment and celebration. They were very well looked after by the staff of Yellow Kite who are based at the Castle and also offer some great food and refreshments to the public at this venue, when their cafe is not 'closed' for a wedding. The couple were transported by Ken at Hamilton Wedding Cars in a pretty white 1930s style Beauford.

I have a very busy summer this year, with bookings flooding in for summer 2015 and 16 too - but some availability exists for key dates still and also key dates in the coming Winter, especially. If you are looking for an affordable service, yet high standard photography - please do get in touch to see if I am free and might be able to help you too. I can offer some good discounts to people who are still looking to book for this year, at the moment.

Please check out my website mid week 'special offers' too!

Wedding Anniversary photography in Fareham, Hampshire

This evening I attended The Red Lion Hotel in Fareham to photograph a special event being hosted by two of their guests. It was a Wedding Anniversary party for Alan and Penny with around 70 guests attending.

I have attached a few images – it was a family event and was attended initially by around 30 people. Couples and family groups posed for some portraits in the attractive gardens at the hotel. If you are organizing a similar event – why not contact me to see if I am free and might be available to cover yours? I can offer a very affordable rate for short time bookings, subject to my availability. It saves you having to take your own photos and hopefully guarantees a better all round result!
