Sports Events Photographer. British Colleges Sport – Bath University

Today I attended day 2 of the British Colleges Sport - National Championships today as part of a team of three pro photographers. We captured images over this three day event for PR photography usage and also for the students to browse and purchase from a password protected gallery. There was a large spread of sports and multiple photographers working across three sites to get as much coverage as possible of the events – with around 2,000 people competing in around 15 sports. I covered the cross country running and also some table tennis, fast and furious mens and ladies rugby action and some of the swimming and basketball.
Sadly, I am unable to display any of my images from the day as I had to accept that they would only be available to view to the competitors via a password protected gallery. I also had to produce my enhanced CRB certificate and professional liability insurance certificate as the event included a range of age groups and so I can only tell you and not show you about this great annual event which was in its 34th year!!
I enjoy covering some sports events and am scheduled to attend a varied range of events throughout 2012. Should you be interested in commissioning me to cover any events you might be holding, please feel free to get in touch and chat about the options which may be available to you.

Commercial photographer in Portsmouth. Photography at Portsmouth Golf Centre, Hampshire

Today was a commercial job. I was doing some photography for a local Golf Centre – The Portsmouth Golf Centre in Burrfields Road to be precise.

The website for The Portsmouth Golf Centre is here: http://www.portsmouthgolfcentre.co.uk/ Terry Healy arranged for me to supply him with some images of the Pro Shop, the Custom Fitting Studio, the Video Teaching Centre and around the driving range. These images will be available for The Portsmouth Golf Centre very soon and for use in their editorial articles, PR, website, publications, and other materials.

The Portsmouth Golf Centre is at Burrfields Road, Portsmouth, PO3 5HH Tel: 012392 664 549. Terry and his staff were extremely welcoming to me and I have no doubt are very accommodating to their customers in this bright and sunny location on one of the main routes into Portsmouth.

Commercial photographer in Dorset

Today was a commercial job. I was doing (a second session) disco and first dance photography for a local DJ – DJ Joe Smith who I met at The Brookfield Hotel Wedding Fair, earlier in the year.

The location Joe chose for this second photo session was a ‘real wedding’ at Trenchard Lines near Salisbury. We plan to cover another photo shoot shortly at Marwell (Hotel, not Zoological Park) to give him some variety of shots, primarily for use on his website.

The website for DJ Joe Smith is here: http://www.djjoe.co.uk/ Joe is local to me and based in Havant and was also at The Langstone Hotel Wedding Fair I attended a week or two ago. Why not check him out if you are looking for a DJ for your wedding or other special occasion? I can certainly recommend him after hearing and watching him work on a couple of occasions now.

These images will be available for viewing for DJ Joe Smith very soon and for use in his PR, website, publications, and other materials.

Commercial photography in Hampshire. Brooks Macdonald Asset Management Office opening in Fareham.

Today was a commercial job. I was photographing an office opening party at the new Hampshire offices of Brooks Macdonald Asset Management. This was my first ever trip to meet the staff at Brooks Macdonald Asset Management and their fantastic new office location, at the Long Barn, Dean Estate, Fareham, PO17 5BN.

You can find out more about their work via their website: www.brooksmacdonald.com

My attendance was arranged by Carey Shakespeare – Head of Marketing. I was also assisted by Ellie on the day and the staff were all very helpful and cooperative for photos.

Having photographed a couple of staff outside in the grounds of The Long Barn and some detail shots of the venue itself, I worked to capture candid images of all 70 visitors – mingling and socialising. They each enjoyed champagne and canapés, some images of which are shown here. Things went very smoothly and the staff and visitors all seemed to enjoy their celebrations and there was also a short address to the visitors and staff by the CEO, which I photographed, before concluding my work.

These images will be available for viewing for the representatives of Brooks Macdonald Asset Management very soon and for use in their PR, publications, and other internal media. I will be supplying copies of all the images presented, on a disc, to the organisation.
