Today I was at Portsmouth Registrar Offices. I was doing the wedding photography for Dina and Gavin and it was a great day.
After a Midday ceremony and a few family shots on the stair case - we posed for some photos at various locations around the Register Offices before the couple headed off to the Langstone Hotel on Hayling Island.
The Portsmouth Register Offices is one of my favourite Register Offices to cover, as the space and gardens are fantastic and the staff are always helpful to me too.
It was an intimate family wedding, with around ten guests in attendance. I left the hotel at around two thirty PM, during afternoon tea and prior to the wedding meal being served.
All the images were available for viewing for Dina and Gavin and their families very quickly.
If YOU are getting married this Winter - Please do get in touch and see what late availability, or special offers I might have available for YOU!

Baby photographer in Hampshire
Today I dedicated some studio time to shooting some portraits for a local family with a baby. Done in a variety of different styles, I captured some individual portraits of a baby in a Christmas themed outfit or three!
The baby was around eight months old and was the son of a couple who's wedding I photographed a year or so ago. There was a Christmas and a Christening theme as you can see.
I am also running a 'Bump to Baby' and newborn scheme via my website and various mailers I do for local families and previous clients. It is a good idea to capture some images of your baby at intervals throughout the first year and starting from say around four weeks. If this appeals to you – why not get in touch and see what we can arrange. There is never any sales pressure from me and typically these sittings are either free or low cost and with a credit towards print sales.

Sports Event Photographer at the Gosport Half Marathon
Today I attended the Gosport Half Marathon, hosted by the members of Gosport Road Runners Running Club: www.gosportroadrunners.org.uk They are a very friendly and supportive crowd and the marshals and support crew do a fantastic job at this event which I have covered now for numerous years.
I was the official photographer for the event on 16th November 2014. The event website is here: www.gosportroadrunners.org.uk and it was a good turnout / entry level.
We had overcast conditions with light showers and I managed to capture a good selection of images on the course. I photographed the promenade in Lee on The Solent and was able to capture images of the vast majority of runners as they ran towards home at around 11 miles.
The images were available for viewing and sale to the runners very soon, typically within 24 hours of each event – often the same day. You can see the photos at my website: www.martinlewis.biz

I also bumped into Brian of Wright Choice Catering, as you can see here:

Wedding Photographer at HMS Warrior in Portsmouth
Madeleine and Gary's wedding was at HMS Warrior in Portsmouth. I was at HMS Warrior by mid afternoon and for their 5.15pm ceremony. We had a great afternoon and evening, despite the darkness and heavy rain. The FUN created by Madeleine and Gary and their family and friends certainly made up for the weather, as did HMS Warrior - simply fantastic for wedding photography.
The website of HMS Warrior is here: www.hmswarrior.org and I always enjoy working with the staff here and particularly Erin, Emma and Julie who coordinate their events and weddings. I also thank County Caterers who provided the fantastic reception meal, as always at HMS Warrior.

There are just a few favourite photos from this day and Warrior looks quite different when it is dark and the photographic opportunities are mainly indoors and below deck!
I am having a busy 2014 and so just list a few photos from each wedding I attend. I still have some availability going through this Winter and I am now offering discounts for remaining Winter dates and ultra affordable mid week options. Please do get in touch if this interests you at all.

Wedding Photographer at the Register Offices in Portsmouth and the Solent Hotel and Spa in Fareham, Hampshire
Today I was at Portsmouth Registrar Offices. I was doing the wedding photography for Julie and Steve and they were great FUN to work with.
After a 9.30am ceremony within the smaller ceremony room on the ground floor and a few family shots on the stair case - we posed for some photos at various locations around the Register Offices before the couple headed off to the Solent Hotel in Whiteley, Fareham.
The Portsmouth Register Offices is one of my favourite Register Offices to cover, as the space and gardens are fantastic and the staff are always helpful to me too.
We then headed over to The Solent Hotel in Whitely for the wedding breakfast and an afternoon of celebrations. The website of the hotel is: http://www.shirehotels.co.uk/our-hotels/solent/
It was an intimate family wedding, with around eight guests in attendance on this occasion and the staff were all very helpful to me, during my short stay. I left the hotel at around midday and just prior to the meal being served.
All the images are available for viewing for Julie and Steve and their families very quickly.

PR Photographer in Wimborne, Dorset
Today was an interesting job for me and in a local pharmacy
at Wimborne in Dorset - I was the PR and commercial photographer who was asked
to capture some images at the location for use in the promotion of the new
store opening.
The images will be used for various trade media and made for an interesting and different job for me. Testimonials and images like mine will then be used to support some articles in their trade media, local press and internal publications.
My images were primarily captured to show the ribbon
cutting and opening ceremony and good quality images like these can help to
promote the brand awareness and use of facilities such as this impressive local
store.
As a full time qualified pro photographer I am currently running a campaign to do more PR and
commercial work and so if YOU require any photography of this nature, at
affordable rates and yet with high standards and some degree of unique style
and personality - please do get in touch with me. The brief might include: shop
opening ceremony, staff working with customers, team photos, head shots of key
staff, new facilities or products in store, a new look or piece of equipment in
store, new counter, or a complete refurbishment of the workplace. So I look
forward to hearing from YOU soon.
