Hampshire Wedding Photographer. St Marys in Selborne and The Old Thorns Hotel, Golf and Country Estate.

Today I was at St Marys church in the hamlet of Selborne in Hampshire. I was doing the wedding photography for Hannah and James.

I hadn’t attended St Marys church before and it was beautiful to photograph and the service was conducted by the Rev Tony Piers who was very welcoming to me and also all the guests. They were allowed to photograph after the signing of the register, making for an inclusive and positive atmosphere.

After a 1.00pm ceremony some sneaky April showers arrived and so we initially posed for some photos within the church itself, before a break in the showers enabled us to conclude some of the larger family groups, candids and confetti, outdoors.

We then all headed off the Old Thorns Manor Hotel, Golf and Country Estate for an afternoon and evening of celebrations. You can see their website here: http://www.oldthorns.com/

I hadn’t attended the venue since around 2002 and it has clearly changed and been redeveloped extensively and we were in the larger ‘Grand Ballroom’ location at the venue. The highlights for me included photos on the (admittedly rather damp!) golf course near to a lake with fountain, and some fantastic disco shots during the first dance in the evening time. I have attached a few of those images to give you a flavor of the day and can’t wait until the next time I return to this fantastic (from a photography perspective) location for a wedding in Hampshire.

I thoroughly enjoyed working at Old Thorns and got on well with their wedding coordinator (who drove us around the golf course in golf buggies - fantastic fun for bride and groom) and in house disco DJ who was clearly very experienced and knowledgeable about all aspects of his job.

The images will be available for viewing for Hannah and James and their families very soon.

Hampshire Wedding Photographer. The Brookfield Hotel in Emsworth

Today, I attended The Brookfield Hotel in Emsworth to photograph the wedding of Kerry and Richard. You can view the website of The Brookfield here: http://www.brookfieldhotel.co.uk/

As you can see from the sample of photos I have attached – the wedding was a fairly small family affair (in terms of numbers attending) and so was held in the more intimate Lumley and Slipper rooms. I have attached some photos of these rooms to give you a good impression of the options available at this Emsworth hotel.

After a 5.00pm ceremony and a couple of group photo shots in the Lumley Room - we posed for some photos at various locations around the hotel before the couple and their guests had an hour of entertainment: The wedding was also attended by some Flamenco dancers and a gentleman playing Spanish guitar – making for a quite unique spectacle for the family and guests attending. At 7pm the wedding breakfast commenced in the Slipper room.

The images will be available for viewing for Kerry and Richard and their families very soon.

I thoroughly enjoy working at the Brookfield Hotel and especially with their Wedding and Events Manager called Jamie Drew (01243 373 363) who coordinates all their weddings and other events.

Portsmouth Wedding Photographer. The Portsmouth Register Offices.

Today I was at Portsmouth Register Offices for my first wedding at this venue, this year. I was doing the wedding photography for Mikhaila and Steven.

After a 3.30pm ceremony and a couple of group shots on the staircase - we posed for some photos at various locations around the Register Office gardens before the couple and their guests headed off to Spice Island for a wedding breakfast and an evening of celebrations. Spice Island Inn overlooks Portsmouth harbour and the Spinnaker Tower and Gunwharf Keys.
The Portsmouth Register Offices is one of my favorite Register Offices to photograph, as the space and gardens are fantastic and the staff are always helpful to me too. You can see their website here: www.portsmouth.gov.uk/living/580.html

The images will be available for viewing for Mikhaila and Steven and their families very soon.

Hampshire Portrait Photographer. Family studio photos.

This afternoon was dedicated to shooting some contemporary studio portraits for a local family. All done in the fashionable high key style I focused on some individual and sibling portraits of children and toddler, in groups & individually, whilst accompanied by their Mum.

All of the children were local to me and the youngest had been along to two previous sittings during her first year. It can be a good idea to capture some images of your baby at intervals throughout the first year. If this appeals to you – why not get in touch and see what we can arrange.

The images will be available for viewing for parents and their families very soon and there are a small selection posted here too, to give you an insight into my style and approach.

Hampshire Wedding Photographer | The Botleigh Grange Hotel in Southampton

Today I was the wedding photographer for Lauren and Ian at their wedding at The Botleigh Grange Hotel in Southampton. I have uploaded a handful of images to give you a flavor of the day.

The wedding was great to photograph as the couple were very relaxed and they had allowed plenty of time for both photos and socializing, before the guests were ready for the wedding breakfast. The weather was fine, bright and kind enough to us.

After the ceremony we moved for photos into the grounds. We posed for some photos at various locations around the gardens, which had the first few daffodils just peeping through and also a large pond and some attractive garden furniture which can be seen in the photos. Then came a traditional receiving line, into the wedding breakfast, followed by an evening of celebrations.

It was my first visit to this particular Hotel and the staff were all very helpful to me throughout the day. They can be contacted at the hotel on: 0844 411 9051. The website for the hotel is at: http://www.legacy-hotels.co.uk/legacy-botleigh-grange/

The images will be available for viewing for Lauren and Ian and their families very soon.

Hampshire Event Photographer - The Brookfield Hotel - Ladies Night - 6 March 2010

Tonight I attended the Brookfield Hotel in Emsworth to photograph one of their 'Ladies Nights' again. You can view the website of the Brookfield hotel here: http://www.brookfieldhotel.co.uk/

As you can see from the photos I have attached, it was a Black Tie event and was attended by around 70 people. Couples and family and other groups posed for some photos before an evening of fine cuisine and entertainment.

My images are now live for viewing and potential sale to the participants of the event, although - I was also printing and selling photos later during the evening.
