Wedding Fair at Langrish House Hotel, near Petersfield in Hampshire - Sunday 30 January 2011

Today I attended the Langrish House Hotel Wedding Fair as an exhibitor. Langrish is a fantastic Manor House with superb gardens for wedding photography and is near Petersfield in Hampshire. It is also independently owned and run and always seems to provide a very personal and dedicated service to their couples and guests. The Hotel and she can be contacted on 01730 266 941 or else you can email frontdesk@langrishhouse.co.uk

This was my first visit to Langrish House Hotel as an exhibitor, having covered a number of weddings and receptions there previously. It was quite a busy day with a steady flow of people checking out the suppliers stands and the venue itself. I realise that many couples visiting may be getting married at other local churches and venues and I am pleased to say that the Hotel is close to home and so I have good experience of many of the great venues and other locations for photography in our locality. You can see the website for Langrish House here: http://www.langrishhouse.co.uk/ or via Facebook here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Langrish-House/263347332356?ref=search&sid=531886061.584803752..1

I was excited by the prospect of this first visit and was displaying a good range of my recent work and many of the products I supply. I wanted to say thank you to anyone who chatted to me, or took away details. I can spend time chatting to YOU about your plans too – I will be happy to chat to you on the phone, so please call me.

I would draw everyone’s attention to my ongoing current SPECIAL OFFER of a FREE disc of all the images presented at each wedding – to any new wedding booking for 2011 or 12 – received on or shortly after 30th January and until further notice via my website at http://www.martinlewis.biz/ in 2011.

Please contact me for further details, to discuss your plans or perhaps to ask for the opportunity to arrange to meet up at a mutually convenient time, should you wish to do so.

Wedding Photographer at HMS Warrior in Portsmouth.

Today was a local wedding at HMS Warrior in the Historic Dockyard in Portsmouth. I was doing the wedding photography for Joanne and Nick and a few of my favourite images are above.

Jo and her sons, pageboys and bridesmaids arrived in a white stretch limo which made for tricky photography on the walkway adjacent to HMS Warrior as it was dark before 5pm, as you'd expect at this time of year.

The 5.15pm ceremony was enjoyable to photograph and was on the ‘Half Deck’. The mood and atmosphere at this venue is fantastic.

We were lucky to get dry but chilly conditions - for some opportunities for photos around the ship. Having photographed the ceremony and signing of the registers, we opted for some photos on deck and at various locations, before the couple and their guests headed below for a gun presentation by Andrew, of HMS Warrior Events Team. Without delay, guests were whisked next onto a great meal, provided by the staff of County Caterers. You can view their website here, or via the link to them from my own website links page: http://www.countycaterers.co.uk/

The website of HMS Warrior is here: http://www.hmswarrior.org/ and I always enjoy working with the staff here and particularly Julie and Andrew who coordinate their events and weddings.
The DJ was Pete Travers who frequently attends HMS Warrior events. He doesnt have a website but you can call him on 02392 691 150.

The images will be available for viewing for Jo and Nick and their families very soon.
Should you be looking for YOUR late availabilty , high quality wedding photography during this Spring (or anytime in the next 24 months for that matter - still a reasonable number of places left) please feel free to get in touch and see what I can offer YOU.

Wedding photography at New Place in Shirrell Heath, Southampton, Hampshire.

Whilst most people were still nursing their hangovers, I was off already in 2011 at a New Year wedding at New Place in Shirrell Heath near Southampton, Hampshire - one of my favourite venues for wedding photography. I was doing the wedding photography for Leeanne and John. We were in the Bristol Room at New Place which is great for smaller wedding parties and has a huge attractive fireplace and paneled walls throughout. It also has some adjacent landscaped gardens and staircases – great for photos. We were assisted by the wedding coordinator called Eli Gray and she was very helpful to me throughout the day. She can be contacted on 01329 836 511.

The 1pm ceremony was complex to photograph at New Place as the room was full and the large bay windows are light facing – making for tricky conditions. There are also some very creaky floorboards in the vicinity I have to stand!!
After a few photos with the Classic Rolls Royce wedding car from Lawnswood Limousines: http://www.llcars.co.uk/ we all headed into the gardens for some family photos, with great bright light conditions for the time of year.

During the ceremony a fantastic Sinatra ‘Sound a Like’ called Paul Holgate provided some fantastic tunes and he played during meal and photo times too. His website is here: www.sosinatra.com 07702 526 692. I enjoyed his music and plan to list him on the links page of my website shortly too.

A great meal was provided by the staff of New Place. You can view their website here: http://www.devere.co.uk/our-locations/new-place.html A Devere Venue and a very popular one amongst local couples, for good reason.
The images will be available for viewing for Leeanne and John and their families very soon and a few are shown here.
