Happy New Year to all my previous and future wedding photography clients and friends.

Happy New Year to everyone. Having been a little slow to post blog updates over recent years I have decided to refresh my Blog, Instagram and Facebook business pages on a more frequent basis in 2024. The effects of the pandemic are clearly still being felt and the cost of living crisis isnt far from everyones minds either at the moment.

Like lots of people, I have been recovering from a chest infection since Christmas, resting and shooting a couple of corporate / large parties and say around 5-8 houses per week over the Festive period for local estate agents. A number of recent New Year wedding photography enquiries have helped remind me that now is the season for proposals and planning for weddings. So I thought I might post a few 'portfolio' type photos here from recent weddings to help generate some interest in my work.

Especially if you are holding a short (half day or maybe a few hours) wedding ceremony or special event - please do get in touch and check my availability and see what I may be able to offer YOU. There are still some key Summer dates free for 2024 at the time of writing this text. Please do get in touch if you think I can help you. 2025 and 2026 dates are relatively free at the moment. So if you are planning longer term, please feel free to give me a call and together we can help you cross one item off your 'to do' list.

Wedding photographer in Chidham and the George Bell House in Chichester

Today I was at a church in Chidham and then the George Bell House near the Cathedral in Chichester. I was doing the wedding photography for Derrell and Rhys and we had a lovely day. I love working at and in the vicinity of Chichester Cathedral! After the ceremony and a few family shots by the church - we all returned to the George Bell House and adjacent gardens for photos, then for an afternoon and evening of entertainment at the George Bell House. It was a morning ceremony and a very short day for me on this occasion.

Owing to a high work load during April I am just putting a few concise details and of course some of my favourite and perhaps more quirky or unusual shots from each wedding alongside the text. Once updated I will try and keep it up to date for the rest of the year!

All the images were quickly available for viewing for Derrell and Rhys and their families, but just a few favourites are shown here.

Official Photographer at The Chichester Priory 10K RUN

Today I attended the Chichester 10K Run, hosted by the members of the Rotary Club of Chichester Priory. You can view the race website here: www.chichester10krace.org.uk/10k_Road_Race/Home.html/ They are a friendly and supportive crowd and the marshals and support crew do a fantastic job at this event which I have covered now for numerous years.
I was the official photographer for the event on 3rd February 2013. Chichester 10K is a very successful annual 10K ‘road’ running race. The event website has a link to mine at the top of the page. There is always a large and competitive entry, making for challenging race photography!!
We were lucky as we had overcast and fairly bright light conditions, but NO SNOW or FLOODING despite the weather of recent weeks. I managed to capture a good number of images on the course. I photographed the vast majority of individual runners as they ran towards home and through the roadworks near to the famous Chichester Festival Theatre.
The images were available for viewing and sale to the runners the same day. Should YOU be looking for a great local event photography service - or maybe some newborn or baby portraits, wedding or commercial photography - Please do get in touch.

Wedding Photographer at Willow Barn near Chichester in West Sussex

Today I was doing the photography for a couple who married at The Willow Barn near Chichester. I have uploaded just a few images here from their day & will be simply showcasing just a few of my favourite images from each wedding for the rest of this busy summer, rather than trying to tell the 'whole story'.

I was only at this wedding for a couple of hours and it was a lovely relaxed familly affair, including a fish and chip supper!! Sadly the Willow Barn is closing for weddings as the business is attached to another property which is apparently changing hands and the business will no longer host weddings. It was a lovely and self contained venue & had some quirky views for photography and a very helpful and supportive staff.
I am currently offering some very good rates and discounts for any remaing 2012 dates and into the early New Year too, subject to my availability. So, I look forward to possibly helping YOU too. I offer exceptionally good rates for mid week options. Please feel free to get in touch.

Wedding Photographer at Edes House in Chichester, West Sussex

Today I was at Edes House in Chichester, as I was doing the wedding photography for Susan and John.
You can see some of my images on the Edes House page of the WSCC website (a previous wedding I covered here last year) too. After the ceremony and some photos in the different spectacular rooms within Edes House, everyone headed outside for further photos in the grounds of this fantastic local venue.
As I am extremely busy at the moment (which is nice) I have uploaded just a few favourite images here from the day. Weddings at Edes House are run by a fantastic team of staff and they did their usual fabulous job on the day.
If you should be considering using a professional photographer for your wedding – please feel free get in touch for a no obligation / no hard sell - discussion. I am currently offering some very good rates and discounts for remaing 2012 dates, subject to my availability. I look forward to helping YOU too.
