Today I was at Portsmouth Registrar Offices. I was doing the wedding photography for Julie and Sam and it was a great day.
After a 1.30pm ceremony and a few family shots on the stair case - we posed for some photos at various locations around the Register Offices before the couple headed off to Southsea for some more photos and then onwards to the Brookfield Hotel in Emsworth.
The Portsmouth Register Offices is one of my favourite Register Offices to cover, as the space and gardens are fantastic and the staff are always helpful to me too. I also love working at the Brookfield Hotel and especially enjoy working with Jamie Drew and his colleagues. I left the hotel at around three thirty, during afternoon tea - a short day for me!
All the images were available for viewing for Julie and Sam and their families very quickly.
If YOU are getting married this Spring or Winter - Please do get in touch and see what late availability, or special offers I might have available for YOU!

Wedding Photographer at ther Square Tower in Portsmouth for a Christmas Eve wedding.
Today I was at The Square Tower in Southsea. I was doing the wedding photography for Jo and Iain and it was a great day.
After a late morning ceremony and a few family shots outside - we posed for some photos at various locations around and inside the Square Tower. The staff are fantastic at this venue - Steve and Julia are always helpful to me and like to put on a great event.
It was an intimate family wedding, with around fifty guests in attendance. I left at around twelve thirty and during the wedding meal being served. As you can tell from a couple of my photos, there was an obvious theme for this wedding. Many of the guests changed into Christmas jumpers by the time the meal was served and it was a deliberately early ceremony - so that everyone could get away and enjoy their Christmas in good time.
All the images were available for viewing for Jo and Iain and their families very quickly.

Commercial and PR photography at Artec Engineering in Emsworth, Hampshire
Today was an interesting job for me - no brides, grooms, babies, horses, Christmas Parties or runners - instead I was doing some commercial photography for a local metal work supplier – Artec Engineering. They are precision metal spinners, welders and fabricators. It was a fascinating day of photography - covering product shots, team and staff headshots and some images of the staff at work in their workshops.
The website for Artec Engineering is here: www.artecengineering.co.uk and they are located very close to me and based in Emsworth. These images will be available for Philip Kemp, the Director of Artec Engineering very soon and for use with his website, PR, publications, and other materials.
I wish to thank the Directors and staff at Artec Engineering in Emsworth for inviting me along and allowing me to photograph their products and staff at work. It certainly was an interesting experience.
If you should be considering using a professional photographer for publicity, PR, website, headshots, pack shots, staff in situ (action / story telling) photos – please feel free get in touch for a no obligation / no hard sell - discussion. I am currently offering some very good rates and have some good availability in the coming months. I look forward to helping YOU too.

PR Photography at the Langrish House Hotel at Langrish, near Petersfield.
Today I was doing some commercial / PR photography for a local Hotel and one where I appear in the venues Ceremonies brochure for weddings. The website for the Langrish House Hotel is here: http://www.langrishhouse.co.uk/
The event was a Christmas Party for a local firm called Sheen Strickland and they are based locally - with offices in Chichester, near to my base. The DJ was DJ Joe - Joe Smith Entertainments . Joe is based in Havant and is a trusted local supplier who I recommend to my clients also.
These images will be available soon for the Managers and Owners at Langrish House for use in their PR, website, publications, and other materials - including Social Media.

GraphiStudio albums from Italy via Martin Lewis Photographer
Whilst I outline in all my literature and website that I use a wide range (much wider than most photographers) of wedding books - I keep getting enquiries where people are asking to look at albums in a photo. The most satisfactory way of choosing your wedding (or other) photographer is always going to be to meet up and chat 1:1 about your plans and before signing on the dotted line. Presentation of the final output from any wedding photographer is only one aspect of their role, albeit - pretty important in my book.
For the benefit of some potential and also existing customers, I thought I would show a couple of images on my blog - of a couple of recent wedding books. So as to avoid confusion and bearing in mind I offer albums from a range of different suppliers - these are all coffee table 'photo books', each with a simple photo backed cover. They are all from GraphiStudio in Italy and are amongst the most popular I provide and are from the largest provider in the World. I can supply GraphiStudio albums at all package rates and whilst they vary - these are some recent examples.
The books I am showing here are simple photo books with a 'thick' page (pro photographic paper) on a pretty rigid page and cover (not flexible) and are all done using bespoke layouts that were agreed with each couple. Individual books are ordered and arrive with me pretty promptly from their production facility in Italy.
If you are interested to look them up - GraphiStudio are at this website address:
http://www.graphistudio.com/en_GB/home
They also offer a broad range of cover types, paper types, lamination and other presentation options. Covers include natural leather, painted metal, Napa and distressed leather with die cut and text options, silk, crystal clear and so on. Having gone through a major revamp in 2013 and 14 - they have a growing range of album and cover types showing on their website, some of which may wet your appetite!
In the coming weeks and through my Winter 'season' - I may upload a few images of other types of traditional matted and similar albums and so as to illustrate the broad range of what's on offer through ME! Please bear in mind that you can only order albums such as these through your chosen photographer and they aren't available like this on the High Street.
This style of book also lends itself to parent albums, portraiture, baby photography, special events and corporate events.
