Wedding photographer in Hampshire - Proposal 'season' is here. Merry Christmas everyone.

Happy Christmas to everyone. Apparently around now is peak proposal time! So I have decided to refresh my Blog, Instagram and Facebook as the Year almost comes to a close.

A number of recent wedding photography bookings and enquiries have helped remind me that now is the season for proposals and planning for weddings. So I thought I might post a few 'portfolio' type photos here from recent weddings to help generate some interest in my work.

Especially if you are holding a short (half day or maybe a few hours) wedding ceremony or special event - please do get in touch and check my availability and see what I may be able to offer YOU. There are still some key Summer dates free for 2025 at the time of writing this text. Please do get in touch if you think I can help you. Infact my availability for 2025 and 2026 remains pretty good at the moment. My prices remain affordable too. So if you are planning longer term, please feel free to give me a call and together we can help you cross one item off your 'to do' list.

Wedding photographer at Edes House in Chichester and Fat Olives in Emsworth

Sam and Dermots wedding was at  Edes House in Chichester and also at Fat Olives in Emsworth.

It was a lovely, small family orientated wedding and local to me in Chichester and Emsworth, which was realy nice to work at. I enjoyed working at Edes House with its fantastic grounds and view of the building.  It was a 5pm ceremony and so there was limited time at the venue before the guests drove back to Emsworth for a few quick photos in Emsworth harbour prior to a lovely meal being provided by the fantastic local venue known as Fat Olives. Having eaten there recently myself I can defintely recommend this fantastic local venue.

The images were available for viewing for Sam and Dermot and their families very soon after the day. Just a small selection are shown here for you to preview.

I will continue to list a few taster photos from each wedding I attend. I still have some good availability going through this year (including a few key Saturdays in Winter 2019 and Spring 2020 for example) and I am now offering great prices and options for remaining dates and ultra affordable mid week options too. Please do get in touch if this interests you at all & pleaese dont delay if you are thinking of booking further ahead. It does make good sense all round to book early to be safe.

Chichester 10K at Goodwood Motor Circuit, Chichester

Today I attended the Chichester 10K Run, hosted by the members of the Rotary Club of Chichester Priory. You can view the race website here:  http://www.chichester10k.com/   They are a very friendly and supportive crowd and the marshals and support crew do a fantastic job at this event. For the first time the start / finish was at Goodwood motor racing circuit and this made for an interesting backdrop for me and great new run route for the participants.

I was the official photographer for the event on 5th February 2017 and for around ther tenth consequtive year. Chichester 10K is a very successful annual 10K ‘road’ running race – a Sussex AA Road Challenge Event and Sussex Grand Prix Event too. The event website has a link to mine on their home page. There is always a large and competitive entry, making for challenging race photography!!

We were lucky as we had overcast and calm conditions, albeit a bit chilly! I managed to capture a good number of images on the course. I photographed the vast majority of individual runners as they ran towards home and next to the famous Goodwood motor racing circuit finish or pits area.

The images were available for viewing and sale to the runners the same day. As always these images are © Martin Lewis Photographer and are protected under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 and may not be used for any purpose without written permission from myself.

Official photographer at the Chichester 10K road running race.

Today I attended the Chichester 10K RUN and for the seventh or eight year running. This event is hosted by the Rotary Club of Chichester Priory. I was the ‘official photographer’ again for their event on 8th February 2015. Chichester 10K is a very successful annual 10K ‘road’ running race and there was a large and very competitive entry, making for hectic race photography!!

This Chichester 10K Race is one of the best organised running events I am privileged to photograph and always has a great atmosphere amongst entrants, spectators and officials. We also had bright and fairly still conditions - good for running and photos.

My images will be available for viewing and sale to the runners very quickly after each event, typically the same day. A few sample images are shown here – just to wet the appetite. If you are organising a similar event and may require an experienced event photographer - please check out my website and feel free to get in touch.

My work is mainly orientated to social (weddings) photography nowadays, plus some commercial and PR photography. However, I do enjoy doing some sports events (mainly running and equestrian) and also supporting a good local cause - in this case the Rotary Club of Chichester Priory.

Official event photographer at the Chichester Priory 10K RUN

Today I attended the Chichester 10K Run, hosted by the members of the Rotary Club of Chichester Priory. You can view the race website here: www.chichester10krace.org.uk/10k_Road_Race/Home.html/ They are a friendly and supportive crowd and the marshals and support crew do a fantastic job at this event which I have covered now for many years.
I was the official photographer for the event on 9th February 2014. Chichester 10K is a very successful annual 10K ‘road’ running race. The event website has a link to mine on the result page. There is always a large and competitive entry, making for challenging race photography!!
We were lucky as we had overcast and fairly bright light conditions, but NO FLOODING despite the weather of recent weeks. I managed to capture a good number of images on the course. I photographed the vast majority of individual runners as they ran towards home and through the city centre and near to the famous Chichester Festival Theatre and the finish.
The images were available for viewing and sale to the runners the same day. Should YOU be looking for a great local event photography service - or maybe some wedding or commercial photography - Please do get in touch.

Wedding photographer in Chidham and the George Bell House in Chichester

Today I was at a church in Chidham and then the George Bell House near the Cathedral in Chichester. I was doing the wedding photography for Derrell and Rhys and we had a lovely day. I love working at and in the vicinity of Chichester Cathedral! After the ceremony and a few family shots by the church - we all returned to the George Bell House and adjacent gardens for photos, then for an afternoon and evening of entertainment at the George Bell House. It was a morning ceremony and a very short day for me on this occasion.

Owing to a high work load during April I am just putting a few concise details and of course some of my favourite and perhaps more quirky or unusual shots from each wedding alongside the text. Once updated I will try and keep it up to date for the rest of the year!

All the images were quickly available for viewing for Derrell and Rhys and their families, but just a few favourites are shown here.
