Hampshire Wedding Photographer - Martin Lewis Photographer

This is the blog of Martin Lewis Photographer - an experienced full time wedding and commercial photographer, based in Hampshire. Whether you are looking for high quality, yet realistically priced wedding photography in Hampshire, or a commercial or event photographer throughout much of Southern England, please contact me to obtain a high quality photography service.

If you are looking for a photographer for a future wedding, event or project, please feel free to get in touch ideally via email. I have a wide range of very affordable options for your wedding photography and can accept a future booking with a booking fee of just £100. I aim to offer new clients affordable options so as to reflect best value. This is approach is also particularly aimed at smaller and shorter weddings, for example.

I am contactable via phone or email. I keep my mobile at hand most of the time, but email or text is the easiest for me unless you need to call if it is urgent. Whilst I use it a little and mainly for my business, I would ask that you don’t message me via Social Media as I may not see your message. I typically always reply to emails quickly so that you know. Clients can pay booking fees or balances via a cheque, or on line via debit or credit card or ideally via on line banking.

From my base in Emsworth, near Portsmouth and Chichester, I am happy to travel throughout the South of England. I hold full professional liability and indemnity insurances, PAT Tested and security checked too, for your added protection and peace of mind.

I aim to be as professional and also unobtrusive as I can throughout all aspects of my work. By meeting each client I can tailor what I can offer to adapt my approach to ensure that your collection of images portrays your memories in a way that is unique to you and exactly how you would want it. Please feel free to contact me to check out my availability and to find out more and to tell me about your own ideas for your photography.

I also aim to provide the most affordable mid week local wedding photography options. Please contact me if this interests you. You can call or email me.

I also cover commercial photography and some portraiture - such as business portraits or head shots and also on location. High quality event or commercial photography can make a real difference to the image of your business or brand, but can still represent great value. For a relatively modest investment, I can provide you with a range of bespoke images of your staff, products or premises, that you can use for advertising, PR, web design and email, annual reports, internal and external newsletters, press or editorial, or even interior styling. I am presently offering great rates for property photography for estate agents and individual vendors or landlords. Please do get in touch to see what I can offer you.

You can always see samples of these areas on my Facebook page, this blog, or my website portfolios.
Please see my Wedding Photography Portfolio for more information on the options for your wedding photos. To check my availability, please contact me via My website

I am also an experienced event photographer, covering special or equestrian events - such as birthdays, funerals and christenings, show jumping, showing and dressage, black tie events, graduations, ribbon cutting and all manner of opening ceremonies, product shots or open days or special events.

Wedding photographer at the Weald and Downland Museum near Singleton and Chichester

Today was a local wedding at the Weald and Downland Museum in West Sussex and close to Goodwood and Chichester. I was doing the wedding photography for Jo and Andy and they were fun people to work with. A small family wedding and the couple live nearby to where I live.

After the ceremony was photographed the general photos occured around this familiar site, with mainly good weather. We had a very good day at this venue and the staff at the museum coordinated the day to make sure everything ran smoothly and on time. They were super helpful to me and it was great to be back at the museum for the first time in a while for me. The grounds and exhibits at this museum are fantastic for wedding photography. A few taster photos are attached for you to preview. It was Half Term and so the grounds were quite busy during this short visit.

You can see the website of the hotel here The Weald and Downland Museum  and their contact and other details are all on their website.

Especially if you are holding a short (half day or maybe a few hours) wedding ceremony or special event - please do get in touch and check my availability and see what I may be able to offer YOU. There are still some key Autumn dates free for 2024 (and naturally beyond into 2025) at the time of writing this text. Please do get in touch if you think I can help you.

We had a very good day at this venue and the staff at the hotel coordinated the day to make sure everything ran smoothly and on time. They were super helpful to me and it was great to be back at the Millstream Hotel for the first time in a while for me. The gardens at this hotel are fantastic for wedding photography. Happy New Year to all my previous and future wedding photography clients and friends.

Happy New Year to everyone. Having been a little slow to post blog updates over recent years I have decided to refresh my Blog, Instagram and Facebook business pages on a more frequent basis in 2024. The effects of the pandemic are clearly still being felt and the cost of living crisis isnt far from everyones minds either at the moment.

Like lots of people, I have been recovering from a chest infection since Christmas, resting and shooting a couple of corporate / large parties and say around 5-8 houses per week over the Festive period for local estate agents. A number of recent New Year wedding photography enquiries have helped remind me that now is the season for proposals and planning for weddings. So I thought I might post a few 'portfolio' type photos here from recent weddings to help generate some interest in my work.

Especially if you are holding a short (half day or maybe a few hours) wedding ceremony or special event - please do get in touch and check my availability and see what I may be able to offer YOU. There are still some key Summer dates free for 2024 at the time of writing this text. Please do get in touch if you think I can help you. 2025 and 2026 dates are relatively free at the moment. So if you are planning longer term, please feel free to give me a call and together we can help you cross one item off your 'to do' list.
