Wedding Photographer at the Norfolk Arms Hotel in Arundel

Today was a local wedding for me. I was doing the wedding photography for Gemma and Simon at this fantastic historic location and Town. I was at The Norfolk Arms Hotel.

After some photos by the front of the hotel, we headed off to seek out a vantage point near to the Castle for some photos with the couple and some family groups.

Just a small selection of the images from the day are displayed here.

Wedding Photographer at HMS Warrior in Portsmouth

Today was a local wedding at one of my favourite locations and one I frequently visit for weddings and other special events - I was at HMS Warrior in the Historic Dockyard in Portsmouth. I was doing the wedding photography for Sara and Bob.

As usual, I am displaying just a few favourite images from this special day. It was a 2pm ceremony and so it was a short day for me as all the guests and the couple headed away from the ship at around 4pm.

The website of HMS Warrior is here: www.hmswarrior.org and I always enjoy working with the staff here and particularly Erin, Julie or Siobhan who coordinated this and many of the events and weddings I attend at HMS Warrior in the past – Thank you Erin.

The images were available for viewing for Sara and Bob shortly after their special day – Congratulations to you both. I am looking forward to my next trip back to HMS Warrior already!

Marwell Wildlife 10K and Fun Run, near Winchester

Today I attended the Marwell 10K running race and Fun Run, hosted by Marwell Wildlife and Hedge End Running Club.

Despite a few difficulties last year over the photography, I returned and was the official photographer for the event on 12 May 2013 for around the 8th year running. It was their annual 10K ‘road’ running race and Fun Run. The members and volunteers from Hedge End and previously Eastleigh running clubs, did a fantastic job at this race again and the atmosphere is friendly and family orientated. I was pleased to be well supported by the organisers again for their 2013 event who have promoted my presence on the Marwell website and race pack.

We had cool, overcast and windy conditions and I managed to capture a good selection of images around the course and near to the finish area. I photographed mainly at around 200m before the finish area and was able to capture images of the vast majority of runners as they sprinted into the Wildlife Park and towards the welcome finish line.

The location for this 10K and childrens fun run is truly unique. The event is supported by the staff at the Wildlife Park, a number of whom were running in the event. You can view their website here: http://www.marwell.org.uk/ The money raised from the event for the Wildlife Park (many of the runners raise sponsorship monies for it) will go towards Marwell’s ongoing work to conserve endangered species and habitats, both locally and internationally, and to care for and feed the animals in the park. So it is also a race with a great cause – Plus: it’s a great day out for kids and adults too.

You can view all the images of this and other such recent events at my website: www.martinlewis.biz where I host my events and other (mainly wedding) photography. A couple of images are shown here just to illustrate my role on the day.

The images are made available for viewing and sale to the runners, typically the same day of each sports event I cover. If you look at the sports events pages of my main website you can see the types of events (typically equestrian events of all types and some running) I usually cover.

Wedding photographer in Chidham and the George Bell House in Chichester

Today I was at a church in Chidham and then the George Bell House near the Cathedral in Chichester. I was doing the wedding photography for Derrell and Rhys and we had a lovely day. I love working at and in the vicinity of Chichester Cathedral! After the ceremony and a few family shots by the church - we all returned to the George Bell House and adjacent gardens for photos, then for an afternoon and evening of entertainment at the George Bell House. It was a morning ceremony and a very short day for me on this occasion.

Owing to a high work load during April I am just putting a few concise details and of course some of my favourite and perhaps more quirky or unusual shots from each wedding alongside the text. Once updated I will try and keep it up to date for the rest of the year!

All the images were quickly available for viewing for Derrell and Rhys and their families, but just a few favourites are shown here.

Wedding Photographer at Portsmouth Register Offices and Ashbys Gastropub and boutique hotel in Portsmouth

Today I was at the Register Offices in Portsmouth. I was doing the wedding photography for Jacqui and Tim and they were FUN to work with, as you can probably tell from some of these images. I love working at and in the vicinity of Portsmouth Register Offices! After the ceremony and a few family shots in the gardens - the couple and their driver - Steve of Lawnswood Wedding Cars went with me to the town walls and around Old Portsmouth. We later all returned to the lovely Ashbys Gastropub and Boutique Hotel for an afternoon and evening of entertainment.
