Today was a commercial job. I was doing some headshot and team photos photography for an entertainment team at a local holiday camp. They were great FUN to work with.
I was asked to capture some images of the staff (groups and single shots) that they could use for posters, directories, website and promotional purposes. Photos of this nature are usually supplied as print ready JPGS so that the client can display them straight away in printed or website advertising. Some of these examples are their own FUN ones and are not all likely to be 'used' than some of the more serious ones I didn't select for display here!
If YOU require any headshots for yourself, staff, band or team – please get in touch. Actors and Extras too – if you are an actor and require recent headshots, relaxed and correctly lit – please contact me to see what I can do. I can supply images, for a modest fee, to actors, writers, dancers, presenters, graduates or children and young performers.

Headshot photography in Hampshire
Today was a commercial job. I was doing some headshot photography for David – I was working with David who required some Toastmaster headshots for his website and adverts and directory listings.
A couple of shots are shown here, just to show you some of the options we covered. Indoor studio and natural light and shots on location are typically available for these kind of photos.

Wedding photographer at Portsmouth Register Offices and at Spice Island in Old Portsmouth
Today I was at Portsmouth Register Offices. I was doing the wedding photography for Eleni and Dan and it was a fab day, with a small family group attending (around 20 people).
After a 3.30pm ceremony and a few family shots on the stair case - we posed for some photos at various locations around the Register Offices before the couple headed off to Southsea for some more photos and then onwards to Spice Island in Old Portsmouth.
The Portsmouth Register Offices is one of my favourite Register Offices to cover, as the space and gardens are fantastic and the staff are always helpful to me too.
All the images were available for viewing for Eleni and Dan and their families very quickly.
If YOU are getting married this Spring or Winter - Please do get in touch and see what late availability, or special offers I might have available for YOU!

Renewal of Vows photographer at HMS Warrior in Portsmouth
Kim and Sean held their renewal of vows ceremony at HMS Warrior in Portsmouth and it was Valentines Day. The couple originally married in Portsmouth Register Offices on Valentines Day 1985 - 30 years ago to the day!! I was at HMS Warrior by early afternoon and for their 3pm ceremony. We had a great afternoon, despite the drizzle and took photos outside and then indoors, after the showers set in. HMS Warrior - is simply fantastic for wedding or special event photography.
The website of HMS Warrior is here: www.hmswarrior.org and I always enjoy working with the staff here and particularly Emma and Julie who coordinate their events and weddings.

There are just a few favourite photos from this day and Warrior looks quite different when the photographic opportunities are mainly indoors and below deck!
After the ceremony and some photos at different locations around the ship - I went to the Royal Maritime Club Hotel where the couple were holding their evening reception to their event. Transport for the day was a fabulous 2014 RR which you can see in one of the photos - what a car!
A busy 2015 is looming now, so just list a few photos from each event I attend will appear on my blog. I still have some availability going through this Summer and I am currently offering discounts for remaining 2015 dates and ultra affordable mid week options. Please do get in touch if this interests you at all.

Official photographer at the Chichester 10K road running race.
Today I attended the Chichester 10K RUN and for the seventh or eight year running. This event is hosted by the Rotary Club of Chichester Priory. I was the ‘official photographer’ again for their event on 8th February 2015. Chichester 10K is a very successful annual 10K ‘road’ running race and there was a large and very competitive entry, making for hectic race photography!!
This Chichester 10K Race is one of the best organised running events I am privileged to photograph and always has a great atmosphere amongst entrants, spectators and officials. We also had bright and fairly still conditions - good for running and photos.
My images will be available for viewing and sale to the runners very quickly after each event, typically the same day. A few sample images are shown here – just to wet the appetite. If you are organising a similar event and may require an experienced event photographer - please check out my website and feel free to get in touch.
My work is mainly orientated to social (weddings) photography nowadays, plus some commercial and PR photography. However, I do enjoy doing some sports events (mainly running and equestrian) and also supporting a good local cause - in this case the Rotary Club of Chichester Priory.

Special event photographer in Hampshire - Dinner dance official event photography.
This evening I attended a local holiday village for a black tie dinner and dance. I was the official photographer for their event tonight. As you can see from the sample of photos I have attached – it was a smart or black tie event and was attended by around 180 people. Couples and family groups posed for some portraits in my portable 'studio'. I worked near the main reception at the venue from around 6pm and until near 8pm.
Whilst not everyone wants to pose for these kind of photos - a good percentage seemingly did so on this special evening and so I had to work quickly and efficiently to get my job done and not cause any delays before dinner was served at around 7.30pm. The guests were all certainly enjoying themselves and their holidays - making for happy event photos!
I will be returning to the venue and supplying a 9x6 print in a luxury mount for around 60 of the guests who chose to pose for a photo before their dinner dance.

Photo printing on-site (or on the next day for delivery of prints) can work extremely well at this kind of special event - formal but great fun. It provides added value to the clients and venue and an instant memento of the evenings celebrations. In this case it was a formal dinner and entertainment, at the end of a Christmas holiday. I mostly photographed couples, some single people and a few smaller groups of family and friends. If you are organizing a similar event – why not contact me to see if I am free and might be available to cover yours? I can work closely with you to make sure we offer your clients a good experience and add value to their stay or special event. Prints can be purchased individually, or can be part of a package / bespoke arrangement.
I thoroughly enjoyed working at the holiday village and hope to be back again there soon. Having photographed a few parties and special events towards the end of 2014, I was pleased to be booked to cover this event today and thought I should show some sample photos on my blog.
A few sample images are shown here – just to help illustrate my tasks on the night. These images are then cropped and printed to 9x6 inches and put into a luxury charcoal and silver card backed mount.

Wedding photographer at Portsmouth Register Offices and the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth
Today I was at Portsmouth Registrar Offices. I was doing the wedding photography for Alex and Ken and it was a good to be back in Portsmouth again and so early in the New Year.
After a 3.30pm ceremony and a few family shots on the stair case - we posed for some photos at various locations around the Register Offices before the couple headed off to the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth for a tea in the top viewing area / cafe.
The Portsmouth Register Offices is one of my favourite Register Offices to cover, as the space and gardens are fantastic and the staff are always helpful to me too. I enjoy working at the Spinnaker Tower too - although it was a small group and tea with the public in the upper cafe, rather than a formal reception. I left the Spinnaker at around five PM, during afternoon tea - a short day for me!
All the images were available for viewing for Alex and Ken and their families very quickly.
If YOU are getting married this Spring or Winter - Please do get in touch and see what late availability, or special offers I might have available for YOU! I am offering some new clients in 2015 some special and affordable arrangements for small, Register Office weddings, where I might only be on site for around an hour or so.
